Yeah, I don't think she really started singing the high note in it every night again until the 2012 Summer tour.
Her voice was pretty inconsistent those years
In 2007 her voice just didn't sound all there, her upper range was so raspy and gritty and she cracked a lot....it did get a little bit better towards the tour at the end of the year. During the beginning of 2008, she sounded a lot deeper and just kinda tired/weaker. By the second half of the year on the second leg of the 2W2V tour it was really building up strength again and sounding great/clear. It was pretty off and on throughout the beginning of the AIEW era....sometimes it sounded raspy and tired, other times it sounded clearer (For example, she sounded pretty raspy and tired in her performance of MLWSWY on Idol, but a lot clearer in her performance of it on that Spanish show). I remember thinking then how much better her voice sounded than it did during the MD era, but looking back it still wasn't at its best. By the tour at the end of 2009 though it started getting consistently stronger and improving throughout 2010 and 2011.......it sounded a little bit weaker at the very beginning of the Stronger era, but by the beginning of 2012 it was sounding better than ever, and it kept getting better.
I guess it just took her a while to perfect her technique as her voice matured.
