I don't think the songs in this album are commercially-oriented actually, but you never know. That's not what's most important. I heard Florence already filmed like 5 or 6 videos so we may get videos even for non-singles (like St. Jude).

VS&S is gonna slay, omg
Rose, are the ballads kind of like when flo performs NLMG acoustically and live? You know, very stripped back? Or are they more like the studio version of NLMG? I'm assuming VS isn't since you said it's very stripped back with just strings really

She debuted at #6 with Ceremonials so I don't have high hopes for a #1 first week with HB,HB,HB especially with that much competition (not to talk about the following weeks with Muse, Rolling Stones and Adam Lambert), but a top 10 first week is going to be absolutely fine for a british artist. Let's just hope it doesn't leak, that wouldn't be good at all for sales...

Both of them are very stripped back but Long & Lost has some kind of minimal electronic drums. Well, it took me some time to get into them but I'm totally addicted now. Queen Flo is not playing, believe me!
This morning after I woke up I listened to the album so loud and danced all over the apartment. It feels so funny that my neighbours must have heard the album and jammed to it before all the fans around the world, ahaha.

I'm very sure a leak this close to release wouldn't matter. She's not a humongous mainstream pop girl or anything, she's lesser known and not huge, and she has a pretty solid, loyal fan base. People who are gonna buy the album are still going to regardless of a leak, and people who aren't gonna buy it are just gonna not buy it regardless. So I'm not worried, but I get your point

Oh right, you said like lana's BTD-reminiscent. Very cool. I'm just imagining Acoustic live performances, ah!
I do hope though that they have good choruses. And I really can't imagine Various Storms & Saints being lyrics in the song maybe Delilah I can see

Yeah I hope so too. Anyway I pre-ordered the album on itunes and on her online store together with the broken foot t-shirt lol. I guess the copies people buy on her store will count for the uk though?

I always fluctuate between liking the final version or the demo more.
The only songs that compete with it are No Light and Never Let Me Go.

Various Storms & Saints ARE lyrics in the song - the first verse almost starts with it - "And the air was full of various storms & saints...". While I can't really hear the word Delilah anywhere in the lyrics of the song, ahaha.

She'll definitely debut in the top 10, I mean if Marina can manage a top 10 debut for Froot with little promo then so can Florence

Well what do I know i suppose
Above all else, I love her for her lyrics. She has this perfect blend of meaningful, profound, ambiguous metaphor-filled poetry that is also relatable, human, direct, and perfectly understandable.

I have a feeling this will debut at #1. The market is not what it was 4 years ago, so unless there's some big artist releasing at the same time as Florence, she could pull a #1 debut... even if the sales end up being less than Ceremonials's first week numbers.
Florence and Taylor praising each other in the Billboard article.
Now I just need them to be photographed together.
