Radio stations will often use the Shazam charts when they decide which songs to add. I don't remember the exact statistic, but a LOT of songs that go #1 on Shazam's charts end up being big hits.

Meh, I still think it's a very stupid idea. They could have given "an exclusive scene" or even a 30-sec snippet of the video but THE WHOLE THING? It'll just leak minutes later and no one will go watch it on VEVO if it's already been out for a day elsewhere.

Well at least it spent around 23 hours in the Top 10, which certainly beats MMO's #19 peak. I just really hope that the video will put it back into the Top 10...
