They invented it. Appropriating it is oppressive to them. To simply wear a burqa casually just mocks the struggle of an Israeli woman forced to wear a burqa, niqab or hijab because of a misogynist culture she is stuck in. You can't just throw that struggle away because you have "freedom"; it's disrespectful in so many ways.
