You gotta remember that this was in 2000, and the controls for Alien Resurrection were extremely sensitive. It was a neat idea because you'd get freaked out by some type of monster and try to run away & you'd be flipping all over the place. Kind of like the first RE game. It was almost like the developers were experimenting with the controls and the lack of preciseness made the game even more scary.
It's just kinda funny looking back now and seeing how fascinated they were by it.

I actually kinda miss those days though.
