I think Born This Way is somewhere between 6.5-7 million. The 8 million figure was probably shipments since there's no way it had already sold that much back in October 2011 when it first came out (IFPI ranked it third in their year-end with less than 6.5 million).
But I have TF+M at 17 million so hey it evens out.
