This March I managed to go to two great and very different events!
I didn't even imagine weeks before that I'd be in both concerts.
The first one was the Embassy Cycle. It's a new cycle of parties and concerts of the independent scene in Buenos Aires, with international artists attending. This was the first one, and the international appearance was the norwegian band Datarock. Thanks to MTVla.com, I was lucky enough to win the contest and get two tickets for this event!
The other event that was expected for many people here in Buenos Aires was the U2's 360º Tour. I'm not a big fan of U2, but knowing that Muse would be supporting I definitely wanted to go. The thing was that when I decided to attend, there were no more tickets available for the field section. A week before the concert, I saw a girl posting in Last.fm that she had an extra ticket for the show, and that she was selling it at the same price! I immediately got in touch with her and finally got my ticket for the concert!
Carca Time and Date: March, 24th 2011 (1:30 AM) Event: 'Embassy' Cycle Venue: Niceto Club, Capital Federal
Carca is an argentine rock musician. He was invited to take part in Babasónicos in 2006.
As a solo artist he plays glam rock. It's not the kind of music I'm used to hear, but it's not that bad listen to something different sometimes.
The guy is pretty ugly; his face is huge that almost scared me, lol. Luckily the show did not last more than half an hour.

Datarock Time and Date: March, 24th 2011 (3:00 AM) Event: 'Embassy' Cycle Venue: Niceto Club, Capital Federal
After waiting such a long time, finally at 3 in the morning Datarock appeared on stage! All dressed in red they played the first song "Give It Up"! I didn't know many songs from them, but I loved when they played songs like "Fa-Fa-Fa" (everyone singing fa fa fa!) and "Catcher In The Rye" (their latest single).
They are really great performers, not only because of their music; also they knew how to entertain the audience even when they didn't know how the songs went on. They jumped into the crowd twice or more times and most of them finished half-naked, lol.
It was great when they sang (I've Had) The Time of My Life in such a funny way.

Muse Time and Date: March, 30th 2011 (8:00 PM) Event: Supporting U2 360º Tour Venue: Estadio Único De La Plata, Buenos Aires
U2's concert was in the city of La Plata (almost 60 kilometres from Buenos Aires). And the main reason I went there was to see Muse performing. And it was worth it! I waited outside for more than 9 hours to achieve a good position on the field. When they appeared at exactly 8PM, I was very excited to know which songs they would play!
They kicked off with the powerful "Uprising", the only song that the audience appeared to know from them. I enjoyed it a lot, and sang every single song (the people around me stared at me in amazement, lol). There were a lot of Muse fans, but most of the people were there for U2. I couldn't understand how people did not dare to move while songs like "Hysteria" or "Plug In Baby" were being played!
The only thing I was not happy with was the Setlist. I knew they would play only 8 songs as they did in Chile, but they did not play my favorite from them: "Time Is Running Out". Instead, they played one of their worst songs: "United States Of Eurasia".
Hope they come back soon and making their own show!

U2 Time and Date: March, 30th 2011 (10:00 PM) Event: U2 360º Tour Venue: Estadio Único De La Plata, Buenos Aires
Before they appeared on stage, "One Day Like This" by Elbow and "Space Oddity" by David Bowie were played in the stadium, both great tunes.
At about 10 PM, Bono and his band started playing "Even Better Than The Real Thing". The sound was powerful and little bit loud... many people complained about that, but I don't think it was THAT loud.
As I said, I'm not a fan of U2, but I won't deny that the show was great. There was a swinging bridge that passed over us with some of the members of the band on it! Even I enjoyed the songs I hate from them like "Get On Your Boots" or "Elevation"... I think it was because the people around me was having a nice time and so I was.
I'd like to see the conecert again but not being that close to the stage, maybe be sitted and not being stand as I was.. my legs would have appreciated it!
What a shame they did not play my fave from them: "Stuck In A Moment...".
The encore was very emotional, with classic songs like "One", "With Or Without You" and "Moment Of Surrender", which was dedicated to Gustavo Cerati.

Somebody To Love Me
Wounded Rhymes
Hysteria, Toughts of a Dying Atheist, Stockholm Syndrome.
Absolution is also my favorite Muse album.
From those album I've just listened to Angles, but all of them look promising, so 4/4
Did you told me about the Embassy Cycle? I think you did it but I don't remember well.
Good you've finally seen Muse! I'm glad for you, and a little jealous, haha, it would had been amazing to be there! Congrats!
Moment of Surrender If Gustavo knew that Bono dedicated it to him, he wouldn't ask for anything else in life. I agree with you, "Stuck In A Moment..." is one of their best songs.
Great cover! I didn't know about it, but I'll donwload it, I liked it even more than the original, haha.
To be honest, I don't remember if I listened all those songs by Muse, but I really like the band, so 10/10, lol.
Actually, I'd be more upset that they didn't ****ing play "Resistance"! I MEAN, COME ON! Still glad you got to see them, though.

That's not too much different than my own list, though I'd probably replace TIRO with Citizen Erased and add Exogenesis: Symphony somewhere.
Oh, and the actual top 30 is great too! This is why we fight indeed.
Muse y U2, que afortunado que has sido en Marzo. Suppermasive Black Hole es mi favorita de Muse. De haber estado en el de U2 hubiera coreado harto "Beautiful Day" y "With Or Without You", entre otras.
"Mine Smells Like Honey" es algo pegadiza.
La próxima semana comento tu Top 30 + 20 . Pero adelantaré diciendo que tu 1 de marzo esta
