OMG I just realized I went to Rock & Reilly's on St. Patrick's day earlier this year! My friends and I were bar hopping and we went there for a while before heading to some other bar a few blocks down before finally heading to The Viper Room.

Just a few months later and I could have met Hilary again.

I have a question - So clearly Hilary hasn't released an album in YEARS, but I was wondering, have any of you guys seen a Hilary CD at your local retailer recently? The only Hilary release I've seen lately is Most Wanted at Walmart and those are selling for $5.

Otherwise, Dignity copies, for example seem to have been sent back to the label since back when stores started lowering their selections. I haven't seen a single one in Walmart, Target or Best Buy here for years.

I don't shop for music at new retailers like that, I only go to places like FYE/Everyday Music (are those local or national?). But to answer your question, they have loads of Dignity/Best Of.

FYE is national but I think Everyday Music is local to where you live. We don't have ANY types of stores like that here. If anyone wants to buy albums, you have to the ones I mentioned or K-Mart. However, we do have 6 Walmarts, 2 Targets, 3 Best Buys, & 2 Kmarts, so it's not like we're missing out.

I never buy new from department stores like that. I only buy physical albums, so I would be POOR if I bought everything brand new. I need used prices

I live in Reno, NV. Hbu?

Oh we do have a Recycled Records where you can buy used stuff. I don't go there though. The ads on TV for it are not appealing.

I was just wondering because I used to love going to department stores and looking at Hilary's album's on the shelves and it makes me sad I can't anymore.

You're making me miss the days of Hilary merchandise. I remember getting a Hilary poster out of the WalMart poster bin and having that be the highlight of my whole week. Now all the posters are Hunger Games and Twilight

Hilary stuff is so hard to find now

Is there a fanbase rating system I don't know about?

What I mean is, I just enjoy discussing Hilary. We're great at it! Nothing to prove to anyone, and I like that it's all contained nicely in this thread. I've only ventured elsewhere on the forum a few times.

I can't remember the last time I went into a music store, or the music section of another store lol. I always download ahhh. But the next time Hilary has an album, I'll be back! gotta have the physical copy for the queen.

OH man HIlary merchanidse used to be everywhere! My mall trips used to be dedicated to scoping it out, which was easy. It was at like Claires, zellers, walmart, all the music stores, calendar stores... man she was EVERYWHERE

Pretty sure 90% of my part-time job paycheck in high school went towards buying those magazines. Mostly for the posters. I had a few hundred on my wall at one time. I think it scared my father. now that I'm a "grown up" i just have one. then my hilary autograph in my living room, and my polaroids with her in my room. Pretty modest compared to the old days lol

Which sucks because with Dignity, it was painfully clear that she's more of a physical album seller than digital. I'm just afraid that when her next release comes around, she won't experience that big of a jump with Dignity because they're nowhere to be found in stores.
