Well I do have a couple close friends from when I was little but other than that, I haven't made a really good friend in so long because I'm so shy

I live about 4 hours from Toronto in the south

There's SO many international students in Vancouver universities, if you ever end up here somehow I highly doubt you'd have much of an issue tbh

There's a big mix of cultures in most of the big cities in America. Generally though, people are more friendly and will have random conversations with strangers at any time. On a college campus you can be as extroverted or introverted as you like.

It might be a culture shock but I don't think you would struggle
