Well if DLS is ever implemented in QLD, that is likely how it will be done. When it is light in Brisbane, it is still dark in Cairns etc. And for the most part, it is mainly Far North Queensland that are against DLS. People in SEQ either don't care or are for it.

Would make more sense for one of the most decentralised states to have a split time-zone through an area of low population than it does for the largest non-capital city in the country to have one.
I don't want DLS because of the supposed benefit of an 'extra hour of sunlight', I only want it to bring us into line with the other states.
