Mariah went through a lot of racism in her early childhood,simply because she had a White mom and Black daddy.Her family car was set on fire,blown to smithereens, their dogs were poisoned and killed.
Her parents truly loved each other,but the stress of society was starting to tear them apart. The discrimination, the threats..It just eventually separated them. They divorced when Mariah was like 3 or 4.
Mariah was often confused,she felt alone and an outcast because of her race,she didn't feel white enough,or black enough. After her parents divorce I believe Mariah's father moved to Venezuela(?) at one point. Mariah said before that, she would still see him sometimes;he'd come pick her up and spend the day with her,take her to fairs and do little stuff like that,but then the communication just stopped,and she didn't see her father for a loooong time(
Until she was like grown)
Mariah and her big sister Alison had a rocky relationship. Alison got on drugs REALLY bad,she contracted Aids,and even had her children taken from her. Mariah has paid for several interventions and rehabs,but Alison keeps ditching the help.It's like she wasn't even trying,so Mariah stopped dealing with her.and that's the part people don't know.The press and tabloids try and make it seem like Mariah Carey's pleading dying sister is helpless and truly sorry,and that MC is selfish and bitter..but that isn't the case.
Ms.Carey has tried to reach out to her older sibling many times.(
Though I personally really hope Alison finds peace

Oh and 2002 she found out her Dad had cancer,and shortly after he passed away.She made a song dedicated to him called Sun Flowers(

Not only that but we all know about her low down dirty fat ass Italiano Ex husband who did her super dirty and basically tried to DESTROY her career. It was all aired out publicly ,leading up to her breakdown in 2001.

People often thought Mariah Carey's life was like " A Cinderella story",which it
kinda was (
In the beginning of her career) or may have started off career wise,but she has dealt with alot of personal issues.
