Nina Dobrev of The Vampire Diaries fame looks cowgirl hot on the cover of the February 2012 issue of Nylon. Wearing short shorts by Emporio Armani and a motorcycle jacket by McQ--she and photographer Marvin Scott Jarret combined their talents for a result that is sure to please. Nina Dobrev is fast becoming a very popular favorite among various designers. Her look is dark and daring--not an unexpected feature for someone who stars in The Vampire Diaries--is it? People are still talking about how elegant she looked at the Emmy Awards last year, wearing a red Donna Karen gown. Newcomer Lindsey R. Garrett has been cast on The Vampire Diaries as Samantha Gilbert, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
Samantha, in her 20s, is described as a bit of a gossip, but don't expect her to cross paths with Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) anytime soon. She'll appear only during flashbacks in the episode titled "1912," airing at the end of February, as one of the town's founding family members who interacts with both Salvatore brothers.
