The lowdown: After a rash of teen suicides in late 2010, Ke$ha was inspired to make this hard-hitting electropop pride anthem, calling it "a celebration of any sort of quirks or eccentricities." Featuring four co-writers and production by Dr. Luke, Benny Blanco and Ammo, it served as the lead single for Cannibal and debuted at #1 on the Hot 100.
The vote: After a bad start, "We R Who We R" recovered all the way to the top five midway through voting. (At one point, it factored into a top four representing all four ladies.) Scoring an average of 0.7 points lower in the second half of balloting, it missed a spot in the top ten.
