Part of Me was epic. It beat both Adele after the Grammy's and her winning everything and Whitney's death. I'll take that one week.
You forgot about the part about how it was cruddy repackaging of a year plus-old demo for a cash-in re-release single that sounded basic to the point of taking basicness to a whole new level.

But she donated all proceeds of PoM to charity, so I don't know how she "cashed in."

I think I'm the only one who absolutely loves "PoM" regardless if it was a rehash. The melody is always in my head and I absolutely love the video.

I do too. I mean, I listened to the demo a trillion times by the time the song came out as a single so it was a little played out for me, but I still love it as a song. Not happy about the change to "diamond ring" to milk her divorce drama, but whatevs PoM >>>>> WA

When I saw her live at the Hollywood Bowl, the people in my section were going crazy for the song. I loved the energy and it's clearly connecting.

Wide Awake is infinitely better than PoM. That being said, PoM isn't even that bad, and personally I don't care that she milked the divorce. I mean, that asshole was the one who divorced her, might as well get whatever good you can from a bad situation
