And Velvet Rope is obviously her magnum opus but janet. comes close and so does Rhythm Nation

Rhythm Nation > TVR > janet. > Control, in my opinion. If Control was 3 or 4 (great) songs longer, it would be ahead of janet. for me.

Velvet ROpe is overrated. It has a lot of ambition and its a really strong effort but it lacks real standouts aside from "Got 'til It's Gone". I still like the album though, and there aren't any BAD songs but like most of it is around 7/10 for me.

Rhythm Nation > janet. > Control > TVR > All For You > others

Control is almost all 10s but I prefer the first two because they have clear concepts and are executed a bit better.

I love when we discuss Janet though

The main thing dragging TVR down for me is Together Again. It doesn't do anything for me. Same with Every Time.

Go Deep is EVERYTHING, though.

Together Again, Empty, Go Deep and What About stand out pretty well though

Maybe the fact that it's her best concept album is what draws me to it so much. It feels like more than just a great album.

TVR, janet., RN and Control are all amazing albums though, so the ranking matters very little.

I sometimes think All For You is underrated. It has a few duds but the two main singles (AFY and Someone To Call My Lover) are like futuristic super-pop. They still feel timeless and perfectly crafted.

With The Velvet Rope, its all good but I can't like immediately go to it whenever I want, I have to be in the mood to hear that album to actually want to listen to it, whereas Rhythm Nation/janet. are perfect listens anytime, anyplace.

Damita Jo and All For You are both a bit underrated, DJ more than AFY.

I use about 6 tracks from AFY, including Trust A Try and Someone To Call My Lover.

DJ on the other hand is lowkey amazing
