It's not about being right or wrong. It's about distribution of authority. Whether the person is right or wrong, only one person in a relationship can make the decision when there is conflict.

I think women can lead a family just as much as a man would (case in point being the large percentage of single-parent households with children who turn out fine). It just offends me that some people act like having masculine qualities is innately oppressive.

I think it's whatever family dynamic you want really. However you want your relationship to be should be established when you get married. I think women can share equal responsibility for bills as a man.

But there are plenty of women out there who desire for their husbands to lead their families, and have no problem being a housewife. And these are the women that tend to......well......find husbands.

But where did I say that? This whole time I've been basically saying that you can't spell couple without CO. The prefix Co- means together or with. A couple is supposed to make a decision together, with each other which implies that neither has authority over the other. To insinuate women have poor decision making skills is the same oppression women go through every day in the workforce and struggle to obtain positions of power. It's sexist and ignorant.

Alot of men are intimidated by an independent female. Men are raised from the day they're born to believe that they have to work hard, not show any signs of weakness, and be dominant. Most men just don't want to compete with their wives success. It's an ego thing.

I don't want a wife that's under-educated, needy, and unable to function without me. I want a woman who's able to hold her own and survive if god forbid something was to happen to me, but I'd prefer a wife who's comfortable with allowing me to take my place as a man and be the head of household. I know that sounds kinda sexist, but IDK, I don't think it's destructive unless it's taken advantage of.

There are plenty of women who fight on the front lines every day and deserve just as much recognition as men.

There are women who can build houses.

I know plenty of men who have been raised without fathers, in single households, who turned out fine and I also know plenty who have had a father active in their lives since birth who turned out to be pieces of ****. I do feel like a man should have a father figure in his life, but to imply that a woman can't do a good enough job of raising an honorable man is ********.

I can change the oil and tires on my car... My grandma taught me. I know plenty of women who can.

It's cool though. I expect these responses as one of the few females on this forum. This is just how men are raised to view women in society.

Omg. You're missing my point. Not every decision can be made together when you have opposing interests in some matters. And in those matters, one person has to submit. It's not about who is right or whos wrong. Whether the person is right or wrong can mostly be determined in hindsight. But in the moment that the decision is made, one person had authority and another would have to submit. Now, will that be you or the man in the relationship?

Lol its not about power over anything. Its about stability in a household. There can never be 2 centers of power in any scenario anyway.

I want a rich husband who will cater to all my needs. I want him to pay my bills and buy me nice things. I'll raise the kids and make the decisions. Just pay for my stuff.
