Some demographics here are clearly not liking 7 Years. Its callouts are poor (21st out of 27). What's fascinating to me is that it is T5 on iTunes and T10 on Spotify. Like with MM&I, the callouts are difficult to reconcile with the consumer metrics.
One possible explanation is that the HAC/AC crowd is really liking and buying the song, which makes sense because they download more than the pop demo. But that fails to explain its Spotify success. It's even more puzzling when we consider that the Spotify demographic is more biased towards liking urban music than adult pop like 7 Years.
