dd the song is kind of the sister of my song Catch Me from last season in the way that it is written, by imagining an artpop narrative and video and then writing the song based around that image. I enjoy writing in that style, but I don't know how it will be taken by you all. I don't know if it actually makes sense or if its just in my mind. If I remember correctly though, you liked Catch Me, but I had to empty my inbox so I can't remember what it was that you liked

Ciara can do better, especially since some of her uptempos are better than careers, but Jackie just kind of has fallen flat to me...

EXACTLY! First of all, Ciara is NOT meant to do solely pop music. Urban pop, sure? But POP, no.

But I'd be fine with it if her pop tracks were well written, smart, catchy little gems. If you wanna go pop on us after releasing one of the best r&b albums of 2013, at least make sure your pop tracks are irresistibly good. The pop tracks of Jackie are lifeless and 2000 and late

I'm still rooting for her to slay everyone though, she'll always be my girl
