You can do. Ultimately, it's your decision, but if you would like their approval. If you are confident enough in your song, then you don't need to, but I recommend it.

By the way, I totally got confused about what day it was yesterday, so the deadline has been pushed back 24 hours to Sunday. I'm not having any more backlash about having a 2-day deadline (especially on a team challenge that involves discussion).
