It makes a song more pleasant to read, but I wouldn't force yourself to use them if you can make something read like a song without them. I think more creative rhymes can really enhance a song and when there are so many people in the competition, you'll want something to make you stand out right from the gate.

I didn't like one song.
The title track was
okay, and the verses to Rise were pretty good, but I didn't like the chorus at all. Nothing else stood out to me because it was a bunch of boring midtempos. Midtempos don't even have to always be boring ass messes (See the title track to her last album aka my favorite song ever)
