I literally will not have you sit here and tell me SM isn't making K-pop anymore because they're broadening their horizons and working with international producers.

They're still singing in Korean. They're still impacting the Korean market and still being branded that way. They're Korean pop stars. And regardless, you're proving my point - there's no limitations for music artists from America, the UK, Europe etc., so why would there have to be limitations for Korean artists? There almost a sense of irony here - you're putting your faves in a box saying they should only work with Korean artists. That's silly.
And @Xalric, I don't think any "SM stans" actually deny that SM's music is Westernised too. Pop music is Westernised, it's going to be rare to find any music market in 2015 that isn't influenced by the big Western pop scenes like Brit/Euro-pop and American pop.
