Attention all 20+ Club members. In light of recents events, there are somethings I want to clarify. We've been nominated for Best Group to Rip Off Teh Clique. Best Group? Exciting! Go us! Rip off of teh Clique? I don't think so.
While we are now getting lumped in with teh clique, the irrelevants, the hellions, etc. I want to make sure to distinguish what I believe sets us apart from those groups and makes us a unique thread here on ATRL.
The thread originally was born out of a need for mature and logical discussion between like minded individuals. What did we all have in common? We were over 20, and that makes us a minority here on ATRL. While the wildness all over this board can be fun, I sometimes felt that I needed a space to talk to people my own age who were going through things like job searches, final years of postsecondary education, and financial burdens rather than repetitive discussions about who's fave slayed who. Sure, we have some silly times in here too - it's not all maturity all the time, and we're ok with that. But when it comes down to it, we've all found a place here to be among people with something in common.
However, I believe we are different (mostly due to our age and life experience) to the other groups (no shade to them, they can do what they want, as we do what we want). As long as you are over 20 we embrace you here. We don't care if you have 20,000 posts or 2. We don't care if you are relevant or irrelevant. The entire concept of relevancy on an internet forum goes out the window with the self confidence that comes with age. Like different artists than us? WE DON'T CARE. I mean, we've got stans of every major pop girl in here, and we're almost at 100 pages without so much as even a small fight. While it's great that we're getting attention as Best Group nominees, I want to clarify that I don't believe we ripped off the clique or any of the other ATRL groups for that matter...because in my mind, we are doing something completely different than what they do.
*puts soapbox away*
Well said. Now let's hope you can deliver that same speech when we win the award....or maybe...just maybe....it's better off that we don't win that *specific* award..
I was an extremely good patron Hollywood, so don't you fret
I'm gald to hear

Today was great at first, I spent the whole afternoon with my boyfriend at Fish Creek Park, which is a provinical park in southwest Calgary. It was a beautiful 22 degrees, and it such an amazing time.
Work in the evening ruined my good mood as expected, got a nasty migrane. Was ready to tell some impatient bitches to **** off

Don't yall hate word counts? I've written 1791 really good words for this essay, but it has to be 1650. And now I'm taking away quality material.
I was always the exact same when I was in school...for the life of me I cannot contain myself to the word count, I almost always found myself going over...sucks to have to take quality stuff out, but I suppose it's better than not being able to write enough and having to fudge the rest, right?
