I don't even understand why are some of us complaining.
She slayed. Not every performance has to be a big choreography production. She's been rehearsing like hell and is going to be on tour in few hours.
Her performance was amazing. Yes simple but amazing. No gimmicks, no rainbows colors props, no basic dance moves, no cheap tricks, it was just her beautiful self and her beautiful voice. None of the other performers can perform like her (except Adele and we know she can't do the other things Beyoncé does)

THANK YOU. I think some of the hive are so spoilt with energetic performances that they seem to forget other styles of performing.

Be glad that the Hive is so hard on Bey. It shows that y'all hold her up to a high standard. We know what she's capable of doing. That's better than being a fanbase who just accepts anything from their fave and doesn't care if their fave puts in work!

I take it back. After watching the XO performance in HD and listening with headphones, it was soo good! Yes she could have done a bit more vocally, but really that's not a song you overdo. The dress, arrangement, lights were all so beautiful! I keep rewatching it!

I can't believe the amount of anger in here over a simple, toned down performance of a sweet song, I already have the audio on my phone. My only issue is that the "You kill me boy XO" sounds weird sung twice, but considering how quickly she turned around and got on ha private jet, I have a feeling this performance wasn't at the forefront of her things to think about and do, yet it still slayed.

I think she is more concerned in getting her tour ready.

There's so many elements she could add to the XO performances. Choir, big drums, walk through the crowd, have the dancers put up the 'XO' sign along with the crowd, glow sticks, jump around on stage, have big balloons fall. Just let loose, have fun. Like there's no worry in the world. Free spirit.

That's not necessarily true. She did a fantastic job with Somewhere Over The Rainbow and I remember feeling disappointed at first, as she was still on the The Beyoncé Experience tour (or coming off it) at the time, but it quickly became one of my favorite performances. I was expecting lots of belting and crazy runs, which is why I was most likely disappointed the first time around. It was an understated performance, but it was still great. With the XO performance, I'm not really sure what was going on. I loved the new arrangement, tho.

well somewhere over the rainbow was like 7 years ago so
what bothered me most about this performance was her voice in the second verse, very reminiscent of her national anthem acapella which I hated
and not to mention her voice was just not meeting a lot of the runs
