I agree but Sparks Fly was the BEST single choice this era. That's why they didn't even bother to actually promote it. And I think that's also their perception of Enchanted, Speak Now & Better Than Revenge, songs that are good enough to sell themselves, like You're Not Sorry and Jump Then Fall.

It appeals to a broader audience though so no problem with that and as long as its Taylor's. I want an all singles update.

Mean was the best single release I'd say the 2nd best would be either Ours or BTD as they both did great. Sparks Fly comes in 2nd to last for me right in front of TSOU

Don't you think SF & Ours was a desperate move for BMR? There was Haunted acoustic and I don't think it was just for nothing. . .
And during the Thanksgiving special, Haunted has its own photo shoot, its own promotion on the TG special back in november.

Not really it was obvious they would release SF since it was something the fans had been asking for but the goal with your singles is to bring in new fans not keep the same ones. I think a good example of releasing a song that was a hit with the fans and it flopped on radio was Marry the Night the fans loved it but obviously it wasn't a song that connected well with other people hence the little airplay it received and the low sales.
edit I will say I loved the effort we all put in for Sparks Fly I mean we made a facebook page and requested like crazy and everything it was so much fun

I would have traded SF even with Innocent as a single if I knew they would just do this. Anyway, Swifties need to be more aggressive, and Taylor should not ignore us this much.
I can't at the MTN comparison, I don't know but I see your point, in my opinion, as sort of a little monster, I'm tired of Lady GaGa already, and I wanted Sheisse. . .

yeah the fun is priceless, the way our hearts beat so fast when SF was about to top the country charts and it did!

well Sparks Fly just prove the people that it can manage to hit no. 1 in Country without any promo, big performances, and with a messed up video
no multi format release
though it lacks on sales coz of no POP audience.

Icannot @ how well Eyes Open is doing. It's been out for 5 weeks and is nearly at 600k.
This song will be platinum by the end of May. 
I feel like this must be the fastest non-lead single Taylor has ever gotten to platinum.
