This is what I kinda dislike. I mean, first people start saying that she's wasting opportunities by not performing or by not telling that she is performing in the show. Then when she actually does, people got excited. By the time she finishes, there are still people who are not satisfied. It kinda disappoints me. Does some of y'all wish that she didn't even perform that she sang it like this now? Smh tbqh.

I don't understand what's wrong with giving your opinion. If I had been praising her there wouldn't be a problem but when I tell the truth about her last two performances I get called ungrateful/selfish. I should be allowed to give my opinion without the unnecessary hate, I'm not going to blindly love everything she does I have eyeballs and ears and plan on using them. I know Beyonce can deliver better performances than those if you want to pretend she's doing amazing that's up to you

Well some are just too disappointed for this performance, which is probably unnecessary. Well yeah the performance is quite low-budget and she didn't do much. But I kinda see the concept of the performance. Imo, it's all about the flashing lights. It's a love song anyway so, not much can be done. The lighting fits perfectly with the song and its live arrangement. The only thing I'm bothered with was her vocals on the chorus.

The guy was talking too much in the beginning.
From 1:39 to 1:50 was my favorite part.
Her vocals were good the entire performance but after the second verse the band and back up singers were really loud. They were drowning her out but if you listen closely she is doing some good runs.
When she is doing that whistle hum thing, I actually enjoy the breathy-ness.

The only thing I didn't like was the hair or dress or make-up. She obviously got tan on vacation so the weave is now clashing with her skin tone. She should go for a darker blonde now instead of platinum.

I appreciate the performance and it looked really nice, but I've seen and heard her do better with less (That's Why You're Beautiful, I Miss You, Satellites). She's the Queen of subtle. Her dynamic control is the best. Idk what went wrong with this tbh. I think she still gets nervous.

1. She no longer has labels telling her what to do

She's reached a stage in her life (as a performer) where a mic and lights is sufficient enough to put on a performance, everyone focuses on her voice instead of how crazy her hair flips were or how she could synchronize with 100 other back-up dancers.

She has hinted at it plenty of times and even said it on one of her backstage videos, not every performance is going to be just her standing and singing, but these performances were just a way to prove to the world, and more importantly herself, that she's capable of being the center of attention with just her voice.

I don't agree with you at all. She's always been able to perform and be the center of attention with only her voice. so there isn't anything to prove. No one doubts her singing ability. Even in the middle of the lip syncing inauguration fiasco, no one doubted her singing ability.

You have ballads and you sing them like ballads.

You have uptempo songs and you sing them like so.

You have mid tempo alternative records and you sing them like so.


If she was trying to prove anything she would of showed off vocally, but she did the total opposite of that.

In my opinion, if there was anything she did on purpose for this production, it was not preparing a usual Beyonce production. It seemed like it was just a last minute let-me-just-do-it thing. She didn't even change outfits from the plane to the performance.

And Really Beyonce, an irrelevant Flurry background?

Anyhow, im glad many of you like it. All I know I'm not here for it if she serves this the entire era.

Apparently some writer on her team said that XO was basic once and they were right. That song is something a basic pop artist like Rihanna should sing or Katy Perry, not Beyonce at this point of her career. I dont know if people realize but Beyonce's popularity right now is beyond bigger than she's ever been so she needed to come up with more powerful pop songs or ballads, not a song like XO. I adore her urban songs on this album, like DIL but her pop songs are not worthy of her voice. Even pretty hurts is basic and sonds like something a school girl should sing. She has regresssed since 4 when it comes to ballads. I wish she would stay R&B and Urban for a while until she figures out where she wants to go with Pop because so far she seems lost in that area. She also seems so nervous this era during her live performances. While her performance at the Brits was not horrible, it still seemed like something that was for a new artist, not Beyonce and the level of live performances we know she can pull off. I think mentally Beyonce is tired, she doesn't want to spend her time working but hang out with her husband and child. She is probably going through an artistic crisis in her carrer right now and it can happen after having a child. Jay Z seems to be supporting her in this phase and seems even worried for her at times at the award shows, he understands her going through this but the public of course is not aware of it and it's not their business to be honest but i dont see much confidence from Beyonce this era. It's clear that something is missing. At least she was able to still pull off a commerciallly successful album during this weird moment in her career. Most artists couldn't do this and would have lost focus a while ago. She is well surrounded by people who love her so much, that's why she'll never lose.
