Yes, the Amazon one is a digipack. I think it'll be the same as Teenage Dream where the first edition is a digipack and then they do the jewel case later.

C'mon guys! Who is buying the album at midnight? I usually do but I ordered it from Amazon and I bought the bundle 2 weeks ago so I should be getting it tomorrow. Technically I am getting it today since I pre-ordered it on iTunes

First run, yes. But I don't think they'll keep producing the digipack forever for the deluxe, I think eventually it'll become a jewel case just like Teenage Dream.

That's what I thought the countdown was originally, but either iTunes changed it to 12 am EST or I just got my facts wrong...
