What I get from that video is:

A man butt-hurt over what happened 7 years ago, but instead of thinking that he will 'dethrone' Her in music, I get the message that he will get Her no matter what it takes.

That video is like from a criminal show **** mess.

@ Jake, unfortunately this is going to be another situation of "Had it not for me, She won't be where She is today." Though, his intention most likely is uniting the anti-Taylor ppl or just calling Her out.

We chatted with Eric Church last week about his show at Country Thunder USA next Thursday. The conversation as expected turned back to his 2006 firing by Rascal Flatts. The move changed the direction of his career, all for the better, he says. Here's some of our conversation:

"Yeah. We played a little bit too loud, a little bit longer than we were supposed to. I was a new act and I came out there and people paid a lot of money for a ticket and I was going to give them a show. We came out and gave them a show. We got fired at Madison Square Garden, which is a fun story."

"We were replaced by this little, young girl named Taylor Swift. I don't know what happened to her."

"Actually, she called me after I got fired. I read in the paper that we were fired. She called and said ‘I want you to know that I love what you do.' I joked with her, ‘This is your crowd; they're going to love you. You're going to owe me your first gold record.' I was kidding, but when she got her first gold record she gave me one. It came with a note: 'Thanks for playing too long and too loud on the Flatts tour. I sincerely appreciate it. Taylor'."

Eric fell (his own fault) and Taylor rose as a result. Is this going to be another one of those moronic "guy tries to take credit for making Taylor famous" situations? We get enough of that ish from Kanye.

Now Eric seems like he's going to try to make Taylor fall in order to raise himself up, but these are dangerous waters he's heading into. If he even thinks about calling Her out for not being country enough, or being too focused on the marketing/ image, I swear to God... It'd be the most hypocritical thing imaginable. And like I mentioned earlier, it's not even Taylor's fault that he "fell." It's his own. He has no right to be blaming Her for anything.

EC is a rock artist with a country voice, everybody knows that, even his fans, so he cant call Her out for not being country enough and that's probably not even his intention
