What do you guys think are 2NE1's chances of success in the Western pop industry? Everyone said that signing on to will.i.am's label will help break them, but when I look at his roster of artists, I'm not too confident anymore (Sergio Mendes, Natalia Kills, Kelis etc.)
Kelis discography *****, but nobodies here for her anymore.
Natalia Kills is way too similar to Gaga at times, so her career isn't taking off anytime soon.
He wasn't as invested with them as he is 2NE1.
These are new gwerls that are starting from scratch, whereas 2NE1 already have that foundation to build off of.
And besides other producers are producing songs on their alberm, such as Teddy.
When it all comes down to it, K-pop acts should have connections in the states before even trying to debut.
Hopefully it all works out.
One K-Pop group has to make it.

I've discussed this a million times before, but the thing is, unlike Nicole, Natalia, etc they have the "it" factor, they're charismatic enough to make it. will.i.am isn't the only one trying to make them happen, Jimmy (interscope) is part of it too.

I really hate Pledis musically, I think they have the cheapest songs out of kpop, ever. The productions are always sooo out-dated etc, it's a shame because their artists are really good.
I have to agree, their artists are usually great performers but they lack in what matters most, the music.
