I was so meh on Shannon too prior to DK3. Like, she could dance for sure, and she SLAYED the vocals on Back Up, but they didn't really let her do anything. Aundrea & Dawn were pushed as "the vocalists", Aubrey did sex, Juanita was hood and Shannon was the spare white girl. Sis came to SNATCH though with the resurrection. She's got a very good tone and I loved hearing her stand out during harmonies (in a positive way).

Her vocals in DB really make some of the songs IMO. It's also nice to hear Aubrey not be forced to put "sex" on her vocals.

I didnt even realize how big of a role shannon played in the DK harmonies until is saw a studio video of them recording WTTDH. Love ha!

And yes, shannon makes a lot of the songs. Her on remember me really takes me to places!

Is it bad I want Dumblonde to perform Roulette? God they slay it so hard.

Aundrea leaving was a blessing. Listening to the original DK4 songs they were gonna back burner the good sis again.

OMG! Shannon's bridge on Roulette was everything. I really want her and Aubrey to incorporate some DK3 songs into their shows, even as a medley.

YES! A medley would be cute. Rhythm of Love/Roulette would fit Dumblonde's sound the best. And I agree, the way Shan sung on those parts are very Drea-esque.

I don't think she was laying dust to dreamsicle.. She was just making a point that they wanted to shy away from the typical pop song structure.. They obviously liked it enough to put it on the album... This album creatively is really great, and I don't see how it's a rehash of previous material? It sounds fresh and original in a time where the Taylor Swifts of the world are putting out generic pop albums that get 10 grammy nominations.. I think they FULLY believe in their own project.... So I don't get what you're saying
