Agree. I think rhythmic music is dominating again. Even Katy Perry's song is hip hop sounding lol.

However, Timber was #1 last week, so pop music isn't completely gone. But I think a more folk sound will take over.

It isn't flopping on radio... We don't even have pop's update, rhythmic is still increasing and UAC had a decent gain today.

Urban I'm sure she's done or close to it, she already is way over the usual end of the line

I know not flopping that was a stretch I just mean we had that period of it getting 3M updates a lot and recently it's declined. I just hope pop play it when it's sent for adds

#13 bb hot 100 this week (-1) it didn't even perform that well last week so it's a pretty good position. Top 10 next week for sure

The competition is so hard. Happy is definitely going Top 10 next week, while currently is at #11. If Bey makes it to top 10 that means that 2 of the already Top 10 songs need to drop next week. I wonder which songs are gonna be.

Being top 5 on iTunes and the Spotify/streaming in general is really high so the incentive for Pop to play it is there.

I kind of wish she'd sent it to pop the beginning of this week; the source claimed February so that could mean as soon as Saturday -- hopefully it's sooner rather than later in the month.

I'm glad pop is more receptive right now to urban music tho.

I just can't see any way she won't be top 10 next week though. Top 10 in sales, top 5 (maybe even #1) in streaming and top 20 in airplay should guarantee a top 10. I have no idea what will drop out though. It is very competitive atm as you said.

Sending the song to pop in 2nd week after performance is actually a smart move. The song is going top 10 next week anyways, but it needs longevity, which only is possible with the help of pop radio.
I don't think Columbia planned it this way, but unintentionally they're doing a smart move.
