But Slowbro has a better defense which goes well with Trick Room and Magmortar is just an upgrated Magmar (though Magmar's design is way better).
But Slowking can speak with humans and has a crown made out of a death Shellder I mean, how awesome is that

That's very nice outside of battles, but while Slowking is trying to argue with the opponent, Slowbro is slaying them with his vague stare and awesome living tail.
