NGU
The most emotional song from her
Why Speak Now is the only album that can debut its all track to Hot 100 in its debut week? Because every song from that album is flawless
NGU and BTR are even stable in Top 1000 in Speak Now era

Yass. Sis what's your former username?
It's okay to enjoy your fave's rivals just like I love some of Carrie's songs.

We all knew she a mess. Nothing surprising really. Does not make me love her any less, though. Creative, artistic personas tend to be this way anyway.

Opinion: Taylor Swift and the 'blowout' of pop
By David Farrier
I've never heard someone talk so much. She is telling me her life story, she is telling me about why she writes the songs she writes, she is telling me how much she likes my country and that yes, she will be coming back soon, very soon. She is Taylor Swift and she won't shut up.
This isn't a negative: In fact, it's quite a thrill. This is one of the few pop concerts I've attended in my life. Some I've been to for a laugh (Justin Bieber) and others, like Nickelback, I attended just so I could say, "Yes, I did do that" (Nickelback are a pop act and don't try and tell me otherwise).
This is Taylor's third and final concert, and her perfectly timed and nuanced speeches aren't getting any shorter. You see historically, my brain has always been interested in loud, abrasive rock music – artists that barely make eye contact with the audience, let alone talk to them.
Once, while still at university, I maxed out my credit card so I could fly to Hawaii for two days just to see my favourite prog-rockers Tool play one show. I've followed Nine Inch Nails across Australia and America, and thrive on bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan, Meshuggah, Slayer, Mastodon and now – apparently – Miss T Swift.
Where the prior groups differ to Swift is that they almost pride themselves on being abstract and distant. Tool's front man Maynard James Keenan takes the cake on this one. When he performs, he's always backlit so he's more shadow than man. He wears wigs so you can't really make out his face, even if you strain your beady eyes really, really hard. A fan stormed the stage once, and Keenan used his Jiu-Jitsu moves to flatten the bugger, before sitting on him and continuing to sing. The other bands follow suit, perhaps to a lesser degree. The most you'll get as far as talking goes is a gruff, "Thank you!" or a "Hello" about four songs in.
Taylor Swift is the absolute opposite. Her whole routine – from performance to the physical staging, is designed so she has as much "intimate" time with her audience as possible. Her face is projected on giant screens, so at perfect moments her perfect face can turn to camera, beaming/pouting/smouldering to thousands. If she's not doing laps through the entire crowd giving high fives whilst singing, the stage caters to her whims and unfolds, sending her soaring out above the audience. Girls, boys, men, women all scream. She's above us, flying. We can almost touch her.
Then there are the speeches. Those long, long speeches. My favourite involves the background to her choice of "red" for the concert. She burbles on about why she writes, and how she likes to compare emotions to colour. "Red" has something to do with the quite-full-on emotions like love, and breaking up with your boyfriend. The most genius aspect to these minute-long monologues is that they each end with a song title. "… RED." "… THANKS." It's brilliant.
All this talking took a little time to get used to, but eventually I was enthralled. What fully sold me was seeing a young kid's face practically melt off in happiness after getting a Swift-high five. That would never happen at a Tool concert. Swedish metallers Meshuggah would just stare at that kid angrily, and probably make him cry.
But there's an element of the Swift that makes me uneasy. I like to think of it as "blowout". The bands I grew up loving, adoring, and obsessing over all had one element on common: Mystery. Half the time, I had no idea what the front men or women of these bands even looked like. You might have seen one or two photos, but you had little idea about their looks, or their personality. Their album art – when album art was a thing – would tend to concentrate on just that: Art. It wasn't about their ugly mugs; it was about their philosophies, their passion and their mantra.
Industrial act Nine Inch Nails took this to the extreme in the late nineties. By then, their logo – a simple, symmetrical "NIN" – had come to define them. But on 1999's The Fragile, they all but hid it on the cover – a tiny part of it poking out from between some obscure, blurred photos. Part of the reason groups like them gathered such a fan-base was by cultivating the mystery. Sure, this was partly marketing in action – but it was also putting focus on what really mattered in the long term – the music.
This is something New Zealand musician Lorde really got right all those years (sorry, just one year) ago: mystery. As the music sunk into our brains, all we had was one illustration: A mysterious gypsy girl clutching a snake. Talented photographer Simeon Patience took the first-ever "official" photo of Ella Yelich O'Conner, which was then brilliantly rendered in illustration by Sam Yong. The original photo was also beautiful – a real stunner – but it was never officially released. That, I think, was an act of genius. Her first-ever photo shoot never saw the light of day.
On the other hand, Taylor Swift's image, mannerisms and knowing smile were instantly etched into my brain. This was a thrill: I felt connected and it made for what felt like an intensely personal, terrific concert. But then somewhere deep down, I wanted a bit of mystery. I wanted to be left wanting more. Then again, the internet killed mystery, I suppose. If government can't keep their secrets, musicians don't stand a bloody chance.

I agree with his point about the lack of mystery fog surrounding Her. Part of it because of the massive brand campaign that makes ppl focus on it more than the music. But if you listen to the music closely, there's still something that is far more interesting that those acts this dude mentioned. It's like a giant unsolved puzzle. Idk.

Less than 3 days for the Grammy concert
I wonder what She'll perform After the CMAs, AMAs, VSFS and Winter Whites Gala, the ideal move would be to perform All Too Well If She performs Dead

If she will ever release All Too Well as a radio single (although this is probably mindless dreaming), I prefer her to perform it at the Grammy It is weird for her to perform it in the nomination concert and then at the grammy
