This is great! Christina is amazing at so many genres. I love albums (like Stripped) that have songs of different genres and styles, because then there is always something to listen to no matter what your mood and it doesn't get boring. Cohesive albums are so overrated. She doesn't have to stick to just 1 or 2 genres unlike most other mainstream artists.
Masterclass names Matt as senior VP of talent and business development. Also, apparently Legend has been investing in companies as well. Business queen!

Celeb-Instructor Startup MasterClass Names Matthew Rutler Head of Talent, Biz Dev
Matthew Rutler, a producer and investor who’s the fiancé of pop star Christina Aguilera, has officially joined celebrity-tutorial startup MasterClass as senior VP of talent and business development.
Rutler was already an investor in MasterClass through MX, the production and investment company he formed with Aguilera last year.
Aguilera was among the first instructors lined up by MasterClass, which sells online video courses developed around individual celebs for $90 each. The San Francisco-based startup was founded by entrepreneurs David Rogier and Aaron Rasmussen.
“I fell in love with David and Aaron’s vision as an investor,” Rutler said. “I’ll be assisting them to expand and develop our roster of great instructors, and to get our classes into the hands of anyone who has an Internet connection.” Rutler will remain a partner with MX, but he said MasterClass will be his primary focus.
Rutler now heads up MasterClass’ Los Angeles office, which is currently located in West Hollywood. The startup’s other L.A. employee is talent manager Olivia Lubeck, who formerly worked at Paramount Pictures and Lionsgate.
“We’ve been getting a lot of inbound requests (from talent) and we’re really excited that Matt is on board to help us,” said Rogier, CEO of MasterClass. “Our initial plan was to start in the arts and sports, but now we’re looking at expanding into business and other areas.”
So far, MasterClass has launched classes with Aguilera on singing, Kevin Spacey and Dustin Hoffman on acting, Usher on performance, James Patterson on writing, Annie Liebowitz on photography and Serena Williams on tennis. A screenwriting course led by Aaron Sorkin is slated to debut later this summer and MasterClass also is working with Werner Herzog to produce a filmmaking class.
MasterClass, which has 32 employees, has raised $21.4 million in funding to date. Investors include New Enterprise Associates, Michael Bloomberg’s Bloomberg Beta, Novel TMT Ventures, Advancit Capital, WME Ventures, Robert Downey Jr.’s Downey Ventures, Javelin Venture Partners, Harrison Metal Ventures and Usher.
Rutler said he first connected with MasterClass through Alex Gurevich, partner with Javelin Venture Partners, and that Aguilera got involved after MX’s investment. “It was exciting to see Christina’s class come together,” he said.
MX currently has a first-look TV deal with Lionsgate. Together they are producing music-based game show “Tracks” for Spike TV, for which Aguilera and Rutler serve as exec producers, as well as a digital series, “Chef Without Borders” starring Curtis Stone. In addition to film and television work, MX has made investments in companies including Lyft, Clutter, Afrostream, Pinterest, DraftKings and MasterClass.
Rutler lives in L.A. with Aguilera and their daughter, Summer Rain Rutler. Born and raised in New Jersey, Rutler began his career as a guitarist with the Nate Mott Band before breaking into the movie biz as a production assistant on films including “The Proposal,” “Grown Ups,” “The Town” and “The Social Network.”
Irving secured a new soccer team and stadium for said soccer team in Miami for David Beckham. He will also help bring the Raiders to Vegas and secure them a new stadium as well. Why can't he use this sort of power to help Legend's music career with things other than booking billionaire gigs? Is it because she doesn't care?

Insiders say the Irving Azoff/Tim Leiweke joint venture has signed up 20+ major arenas for their Arena/Stadium Alliance division and closed deals for the new David Beckham soccer franchise and stadium in Miami, and rumor has it they're close to assuming a key role as Sheldon Adelson's personal reps in bringing the Raiders to Vegas and constructing a new stadium there.
Music mogul/Madison Square Garden partner Azoff and former AEG and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment CEO Leiweke announced their L.A.-based Oak View Group holding-company/development JV last September, with an emphasis on their "invitation-only" platform for stadiums and arenas. OVG bills itself as "a positive disruption to business as usual in the sports and live entertainment industry." The JV also has sponsorship and consulting divisions, among other projects.
Legend X will be on the soundtrack for The Get Down, a new series set to premiere on Netflix. The soundtrack will be released on August 12th.

The Get Down’s soundtrack has been set for an Aug. 12 release, the same date the hip-hop drama will debut on Netflix.
Its celebrity-stacked lineup includes original music from the show’s cast (Grandmaster Flash, Jaden Smith) as well as contributions from Nas, Miguel, Christina Aguilera, Zayn, Michael Kiwanuka, Leon Bridges, and Raury. It will also feature collaborations with Grammy Award-winning producers Nile Rodgers, Malay, and Emile Haynie.
Executive-produced by Nas and Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrmann, The Get Down centers around a group of Bronx-based teens as they come of age in the gritty streets of ’70s New York. “The overview of this thing is that New York is in chaos,” supervising producer Nelson George told EW in June. “Symbolically, disco and hip-hop are kind of at war with each other.”
Added Luhrmann in a release: “[The series] is really a story of New York in the late ’70s, an incredibly fertile time of creativity amid chaos. While our production is a musical that embodies many classic hits, we also use contemporary sounds and techniques connecting the dots between then and now. My great privilege is to have associated with such a diverse musical community.”
The soundtrack will debut exclusively through Apple Music, with pre-order starting Aug. 5. Additional artists and full track listing will be announced soon.
Legend X's show in Georgia starts in a few hours. The show and tickets sales were announced less than 3 weeks ago, Xtina hasn't even bothered to mention it anywhere, yet it is practically sold out. Less than 100 tickets remain in the 9500 capacity arena.
