I'm the LAST person to ever deny pop music. I love all of Katy's music, I think Dangerous Woman is amazing, and Halo is my favorite Beyonce song. I would actually love it if she would go back to that sound. hehe

So, as a pop music enthusiast, I'm able to easily recognize non-pop elements in music. I agree that Sorry could have been a "pop" song at its core with its catchy hook....but then we reach the last minute of the song and the pop construction falls apart.

It's really easy for the trained ear to pick out. But not everybody has that.
