I would definitely say that pop music is becoming more prominent again, and pop artists deserve more of a shot at #1 than they have right now. I mean, there's a reason why A LOT of hits on urban radio don't pull in downloads
(Currently Trading Places, Chopped 'n' Screwed, and Green Light; all of these are top 5 at urban, yet none are top 40 on iTunes) In comparison, all the songs top 5 on pop radio are top 11 on iTunes.
This just proves that noone cares enough about the music on urban radio to buy it, and therefore, the Hot 100 doesn't reflect what's popular, because what's popular, is what people are willing to spend their money on.
