I'll be mad if this isn't the setlist Katy uses, none of her other songs can compare to those 5 (Presumably California Gurls will be mixed in with Teenage Dream).

If she manages to squeeze a 6th song out of them it -has- to be the The One That Got Away/Thinking of You performance, American audiences are yet to be exposed to the flawlessness that is. It might cancel out some of the bad will she'll get if live vocals are involved.

You don't want controversy in the Super Bowl. You already have 100 million+ viewers and a good number of them are bible belt country hicks that want a safe yet sexy performance

Seeing the new facts, Katy has four choices.

A)Releasing two more singles off PRISM. The sixth will be promoted like Birthday, slightly. The seventh will be the last one and will be promoted like hell. SB, Grammys, Brits...too many choices and great awards shows.
B)Releasing the last single off PRISM now and having nothing new to promote at the SB.
C)Preparing a re-release, including 3-4 new songs, with one single (the lead one). SB, Grammys etc, the song will be her tenth #1.
D)Recording a new song with a female or male artist which is gonna be promoted at the SB etc.

Superbowl is a great way to sum up her huge achievements before going further. She doesn't have to (and shouldn't imo) use it as a promo slot for some new stuff.

I just think it would be a perfect way for huge first week sales. If she doesn't use SB for something new Roar will almost definitely be her biggest sales week ever

She has to release something new early February. With the Super Bowl and the Grammys (the two biggest music promo events of the year) happening a week apart from each other she would be stupid if she didn't.

If it was a new single released at midnight (like what Madonna did) it would be huge. She would naturally sell 400k+ and the SB boost could give her 200k more
