I didn't read the 10th Testament or whatever it's called. Applause, to me, still makes sense.
I don't see your point when Sexxx Dreams, G.U.Y , Jewels & Drugs, Manicure, Do What U Want, Donatella, Fashion!, Mary Jane Holland, Dope, and Gypsy exist. In my opinion, this album was very tame and unsophisticated compared to the last two. All of the songs i listed are pretty much straight forward.

Gaga just had too much damn weed really. Weed seems to damage people's intelligence. She would have come up with lyrics on a BTW level had she not gone through that phase.
It's like you're ignoring the fact that a lot of Gaga's best songs are RedOne productions. And ARTPOP's writing isn't as bad as you're painting it out to be. I'd rather have Gaga write something simple than write something that sounds symbolic and dense at first, but then turn out to be meaningless and nonsensical.

I mean, I didn't say she was trying to be artistic. My point was she was really non-sensical, and those lyrics really only make sense to her which is why the public just won't connect tbh.
I think most of RedOne's collaborations with Gaga are amazing too.
