I guess everyone consider something else being good lyrics. Me, I like some Kelly's writing, I like some Taylor's lyrics, same with Lily Allen, Dido, Pink (not even mentioning pros like Kate Bush, The Beatles, Queen, David Bowie etc) but my favorite lyricist (he writes music too of course) ever is Justin Hawkins of The Darkness. His lyrics have depth, they're clever, interesting, unless he intentionally writes "stupid" songs which he does sometimes.
EDIT: By the way, I think there's a difference between the message of a song (for example for Pretty Hurts which message you like) and the actual lyrics (which I don't like in PH's case). There can easily be a song with amazing message and awful lyrics.
