That's true. You can add "Check On It", "Lose Yourself", and "Men In Black" as great soundtrack singles that performed well on pop radio. "Decode" should not only be a successful soundtrack single, but as well as Paramore's breakthrough hit just like "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" was for Aerosmith.

I think 'Decode' is Paramore's best song, it certainly has much more potential then there other songs to breakthrough on radio. I liked CrushCrushCrush and Misery Business aswell though. Lose Yourself was massive, wasn't it Eminem's only no.1 in America?

Why do African American's completly dominate the Billboard Hot 100 airplay chart??? A white person has not been to no.1 since Fergie with 'Big Girl's Don't Cry' and it was another year or so before that when a white person was no.1.

2009 will have more variety. Hip Hop is losing popularity, although looking at the no.1's on the Hot 100 would suggest otherwise Perhaps people are getting sick of listening to the same ****? Electropop is becoming really popular, and pop in general is coming back. Hopefully pop has lost it's taboo of being 'uncool' now. Music is much more varied in the UK

2008 has been a good year for music as whole though. The charts in the US have been dominated by new artists and those who were not previously as successful as before. It's sort of like a transitional year
