In the Night only selling 240K in 2016 so far It'll only be Gold in the end despite going #3 on Pop Radio.
Any other instances in 2007-2015 where a song went #3 (or higher) on Pop Radio and only Gold in sales overall

yeah its crazy looking back just 3 years at the charts...
makes Hello's ultra-slayage those first weeks even more impressive
Digital weekly sales are around 15M now. That's below February 2007 (16-17M) but ahead of February 2006 (10-11M). So I guess we can expect 10 or so Platinum songs this year like back then.

I was going by Billboard's Pop Songs peak. I don't use Mediabase peaks.
I would have to agree Hello was a great sales #1. Uptown Funk was too. There were several other ones that weren't great though, and I'm not calling CMM great either (no offense to CJR fans, that's just not my kind of music).
