I want to listen to the albums in chronical order, I'm listening right now to Hear Me, but I'm not sure if I'll have enough time to listen at least to the studio albums today.

I don't think she was mentioning the song. I think she was just saying it as fact. lol

I know, I was just joking. I just can't take that phrase seriously with that song, especially with how much anger there is in it.

I agree with Edge, I doubt she was writing this with the song in her mind, she was just teasing (I don't even know how to call it) Brandon. Just imagine the mini-conversation if she had written "winter dreams".
Brandon: Happy birthday to my wife!
Kelly: Winter dreams.
Most people's reaction would be:

I probably should have just used an emoticon to try to make it more clear that it was a joke (a bad one, but oh well).

Beyoncé and Carrie Underwood named to TIME's list of the 100 most influential people? On Kelly's birthday? Typical.
(Seriously, though. Carrie?)

I was surprised as well. I didn't think she did jackshit this past year. I'm not interested enough in her to read her piece...that was written by a close friend of hers. Maybe someone can read it and fill me in so I don't look ignorant when Carrie/Kelly feuds ultimately come up.

They're both pretty overrated to me so I'm not surprised at all.
I mean Carrie's nominated for some Millenium or Whatever Billboard Music Award for a huge achievement.
EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I don't take seriously all those lists of influence, best outfits, beauty, whatever, so I'm not jealous, but I won't lie, I don't want to hear about their wonderful lives... ( )

I really wish Pretty Hurts went to Kelly. I think it would have meant so much more coming from her...and a performance of it at the Grammys? It could have been mind blowing. Sia really needs to stop riding Bey's dick and work with other artists. She herself is getting overrated by choosing to work with bigger named artists than actual talent.

I haven't heard the song and I don't intend to do so, but I read some lyrics of it and no thanks

"Perfection is a disease of a nation"
"It's the soul that needs the surgery"
is greater than any lyrics from Stronger sans
"Your love hurts deeper. It’s like a brick in the sea and I’m drowning with it"
"You know the bed feels warmer sleeping here alone. You know I dream in color and do the things I want"

I agree. I love that song, but it kind of annoys me that Beyoncé, who is praised for her beauty, is singing it. It makes the song fall flat simply because Beyoncé is singing it. If Kelly sang it, a woman who is dissed left and right for her lackluster appearances, it would have been amazing.
Nothing against Beyoncé but that song coming from her doesn't seem as relatable in my opinion.

We can all nitpick bad lyrics. Those Ciara pictures are from a professional retouched photoshoot, compared to a candid of Kelly when she didn't even know she was being photographed? I mean c'mon...

Cliche's work. Only reason why WDKY worked.
And I love that line as well. Again, it would have meant so much more coming from Kelly than Bey.

I'm sorry, these lyrics are supposed to be good? Especially the second line? Um... okay. Bye.

Pretty Hurts has the better production and lyrics, most definitely. I don't use it though since Bayonne's dry voice irritates me to the bone. Had Kelly sang originally sang the song, you'd be praising the lyrics.
Stronger's lyrics were so painfully literal and overdone. She needs songs with more clever, depth packing lyrics.

When Kelly does meaningful lyrics, she does them more genuinely than most performers I can think of.
As you said, Stronger is full of cliche's, which is why she needs to move away from them. She has the chance to get some real critical acclaim, she's in a great position.

This proves that Kelly is like all of us. If she has a good day, she writes a gem like Sober (or picks to sing a song like Honestly lyrics wise). If she has a bad day, she sings Einstein.
