It's no more stupid than stanning for Taylor. It actually might be less.

For one, Taylor is just as much a part of vapid celebrity culture as Kim is. Yes, she "actually does something!!!!! (release extremely basic and easy to digest pop music)", so do most celebrities. Two, I'm a teenage girl. I like Kim for things like her #hairgoals and fashion and because she seems fun on snapchat. Nothing strange about it, considering most people in my demographic like her for the same reasons.

Can't say the same for everyone else and their faves though.

maybe the way you look at it, but that doesn't make that true for everyone else and you can't force your opinion on others like that. the idea of what qualifies as being 'stannable' is purely subjective, the constant fights on here should illustrate that enough.

plus stan culture usually boils down to commercial achievements anyway, i don't see that as being any less genuine than what a lot of people do here flaunting their faves' receipts.
