I actually never liked it when the VMA's nominated songs just because they were hits...it should be about the video not how successful the song is.

IMO, What Doesn't Kill You didn't deserve any nominations based on the video...

Dark Side deserved a Pop and or female video nomination IMO but I am just happy with 1 nomination.

When I think of videos being robbed of nominations I instantly think of Behind These Hazel Eyes in 2005 and Never Again in 2007

In 2005 they nominated Since U Been Gone due to it being more successful. It had a good video but Behind These Hazel Eyes obviously had the better video.

They wouldn't dare nominate Never Again after its lack of AirPlay and controversy...RCA probably told them not to nominate it

Finally heard this on Z100 during rush hour again, it's been over a week. Hopefully this is a sign that they are starting to spin it more again
