At this point (the 3rd song in an era), I would even side with Vulps aka TBDT supporter for life. Minus success, which obviously is a landslide win for TBDT, AL is weaker sonically compared to TBDT, but AL songs are a little bit polished when it comes to songwriting (Hmm... let me think... let me take that back since we're just comparing the 3 singles, they're just equal with lyrics). The only song I'm holding on to is GYWYL and some not-so-interesting titles which might be a break-up ballad/rock songs + Sippin On Sunshine .

I'm sure she enjoys her funny/poppy side, but I'm even surer that she enjoys the mature/meaningful/serious side even more Personally, I've liked this era's "funny" songs more than I did with TBDT and GL, BUT I still think she could do it better and balance it out more. I love LMG, and to me it's the best song she's released as single in 9 years, and I'm quite confident I'll like the rest of "Tripod" songs + selfwritten songs (minus HK, perhaps). Overall, I'm feeling good about the album, not so much about the era as a whole (GH setlist, stupid bearshark and dancers, lack of b-sides or bonus content with album and singles).

Besides, why do you think we're all on ATRL? Most members are interested in pop culture, even more interested in how the music industry works how labels market their artists. This site is based off of analyzing and making predictions about pop gurls.

I'd have done a much better job though.

I definitely appreciate Avril's fun side, but as you know I'm almost equally fanatic about her sentimental side. Songs like Remember When and Goodbye are easily some of my favourite recordings from her. And it's very apparent to me that the "fun" songs on this upcoming record were far less organic and spontaneous than those on The Best Damn Thing (with possible exceptions in Bad Girl and Hello Kitty). I feel the same way about Let Me Go but in the sense that it sounds just like a song Avril wrote rather than something that came from her heart, as cheesy as that may sound. Basically, I'll love whatever she does as long as it's something that's clearly important to her.
