I was introduced to UMK3 by my uncle on the SNES when I was like 4/5.

And yet it didn't really harm me in any way because I barely remember it aside from randomly nailing Cyrax's brutality one time in a stroke of button mashing luck.

It's actually so weird that even though MK did not phase me at all while I was growing up, I was scared sh*tless by Tekken 2 (the last two battles gave me nightmares lmao).

I started playing late in the series, MK : DA was my first game. Deception is my favorite game, however. I looooooved the Konquest mode, it was so cool to see all the characters and to explore the realms. It made me want a MK MMORPG

I played Tekken much earlier, I started at Tekken 2! Tekken 3 and Kazuya/Heihachi/Jin's endings in T4 scared me sh*tless

I played MK4 on PS1 when I was 9 years old. At first I thought it was a normal fighting game like everyother game I had played, then I got to the game over screen, my gosh I wasn't prepared for that. That scene haunted me for weeks

I started when my Mom bought MK2 from my cousin at a Garage sale back in like 1998/1999 (I was 3-4). It instantly became my favorite and I was drawn to Sub-Zero and Kitana immediately because they were blue Subby & Kitana remain my faves alongside Raiden

I would if I had any games that could be played online...they shut down DS wifi, so even if I miraculously found my UMK3 DS game, I couldn't do online matches. I don't have a PS2/3 or XBOX/360 + games either.

I started with MK2 when I was 10 (makes me sound old, but I just got into the game so 2000 and late, like...in 2004. Little naive me didn't care, though, as I wasn't even aware more "upgraded" games existed at the time. I pretty much got into every game in the series late except MK vs. DC)
