I haven't seen current receipts but at its current sales rate Pure Heroine is likely the 2nd best selling album of 2014 (poor Beyonce) behind Frozen. And it came out in September of last year.

Nicki has really solidified her status in a way that Branchu never did.

She's faded away from the POP scene. The Urban/R&B scene is still very loyal to her. She's still on the #1 TV show on BET, she's still revered as the vocal bible, she's still the first "Black Barbie"

Her legacy transcends being a disproportionate clown with an ass as big as her annoying personality. Nicki hasn't solidified her status at all. She can keep winning "BET female rapper" awards, meanwhile she's lucky to even get a mention in the more IMPORTANT categories or recognized by the Grammy's.
