That's a good point and I can see that. Though I'm one those people that don't think it's necessary to give every villain a dawn out, sympathetic backstory, like sometimes it is just creepier to me when there is no rhyme or reason why someone does something terrible.
Yet I think I'd love it if they could handle her character in an interesting way, like Brona/Lily on Penny Dreadful where you understand her motivations and sympathize a bit, but there's still the vibe that she is deadly AF.
