There are policies in place which I have to uphold; not my decision (entirely; I did of course have a hand in creating many current ATRL policies).

The whole "messy stories" aka Vulgar/Graphic/Explicit thing is handed down more because of issues with advertisers wanting our content to stay approximately PG-13 and Joe (owner) personally wanting a slightly more respectable reputation for ATRL in the future that it has sometimes had.
