Perhaps she should do live sets sitting at a piano. Cause I see this being an enduring problem. Especially since she didn't get it checked out when the signs first appeared.
I hope she gets better, but recurring synovitis causes degeneration of the joints, which would definitely be a problem.
She knew what she was saying when she said "soon."
Anyway, at this point, I don't think we're getting anything till 2014 now. Her developing synovitis and not telling anyone until she got to the point where she couldn't walk anymore is really gonna set things back.
Of course, that should be the least of everyone's worries anyway.
If her doctor is only making her cancel shows for a week, it's probably not that serious. We'll see if she has to postpone more, but if she's able to perform her shows again next week, I don't think it will effect ARTPOP that much.
Luckily the tour is almost over. She'll be taking a break afterwards and even when she's promoting ARTPOP, it won't be even close to the kind of physical strain she takes while she's on tour.
Off-topic but this "a Phoenix rising from the ashes" thing has got me thinking.
We know how much Gaga is ****ing terrified of the 27 Club and dying a celebrity's death á la Diana.
BUT
What if, she exploits it? Imagine:
Finishes tour - March 20.
Break etc etc
Birthday - March 28
She tweets "LADY GAGA IS DEAD" and goes completely silent for like a month while she re-records vocals for the album; no tweets, no interviews, no photos whatsoever, nothing.
Then at the end of April there's like a press release, or a video or website with a live countdown all pointing towards one specific date which is the launch of the app and single release.

Not saying it's gonna happen, but it'd be pretty ****ing cool if it did. The press would go ******* crazy.
Hmm, have you seen "Velvet Goldmine"? The movie, is the same story...

Ew, no! I'd rather the press go crazy because she released a irresistibly ****ing good album, not because she finally proved their points that she's an attention-***** who values shock-factor/image over music.
I do like the idea of her completely disappearing for a month and then kicking everything off all of out the sudden, but the drama is not needed.
OMG y'all, I just realized that if we had gotten 9 singles like Gaga wanted, the BTW era would either just be ending now, or it would end in April or May.
