It would have been a pain in the ass for her to present though. She had a show the night before the Grammys and a show the night after, both of them far northeast, about as far as you can get from LA while still being in NA.

It'd be a tad pathetic to attend award shows she has no reason to. Especially considering she doesn't like walking the carpet most of the time when she DOES have reason to be there.

Presenting an award would have been fine, but even that would have been a fairly transparent PR move considering she just doesn't do that kind of thing.

Anyways. I do agree that she should focus on looking amazing on the carpet now, rather than performing stunts. People would just roll their eyes no matter how cool it was. It wouldn't be shocking, it would be predictable and since other acts' pathetic attempts to "shock" on the carpet...the whole concept is cheapened. Best to avoid.

The DJs and producers complained about the pop acts being nominated and winning over true dance acts, which is why Gaga and Rihanna are relegated to being purely pop nominees instead. Gaga even moreso, because she doesn't crossover to other genres like the other girls do.

And she doesn't collaborate for anything, so she can only be nominated for Pop Solo Vocal and Pop Vocal album. Also, Best Short Form Music Video is possible, but he won that with Bad Romance, so idk if she'll get it again.

If she does another touring DVD, that could be nominated for Best Long Form Music Video. And then three general fields.

But the only time she's ever been allowed into SOTY/ROTY has been with Poker Face, so she would need a massive hit for that.

It's unfair that only dance/pop crossovers are blocked from their subgenre. Meanwhile Rihanna and Beyonce can get nominated in R&B and Taylor can get nominated in country, doubling their chances of winning.

Really they should have an electro/dance category for artists, then an electro/dance category for producers/DJs.

It's not even just about Gaga. Think of how many brilliant dance/pop acts will get completely screwed out of Grammys because they aren't pop enough to be included in Pop and can't be included in the Dance categories.

She never said she was talking about the album though... Right now I've accepted the fact that the lead single is coming June 29 and if the era has started the wait for the album won't be that difficult... If the lead comes much later than that I will be having a meltdown again though + she's changed her mind about things before... It'll look better on her discography anyway
BTW 2011, ARTPOP 2013 and the follow-up 2015 (there only needs to be a year and a half between ARTPOP and the follow-up, so it won't look as if she released annually)
